Hillsdale Investment Management and CFA Society Toronto offer the Hillsdale Investment Management - CFA Society Toronto Research Award to recognize practitioner-relevant research on investment management issues focused on the Canadian capital markets, with a CAD $10,000 prize and substantial publicity via CFA Society Toronto and Hillsdale. Submissions are open globally to researchers, academics, practitioners, students, and teams, and may cover portfolio management, asset valuation, risk management, ESG, and traditional or alternative investments related to Canadian markets. Applicants must submit an Executive Summary (1,500–2,000 words; no charts/graphs/images) and the full research paper including author names, affiliations, contact details, date and any URL, and must confirm the paper is original and not published, accepted, or under submission elsewhere. A panel of industry and academic judges evaluates relevance, innovation, and practical impact in a two‑phase process (Executive Summary review in July, full paper review in August) with winners notified in early September; inquiries to the Applicant Guide FAQ or awards@cfatoronto.ca.
