IACS-IGS Graham Cogley Award

The International Association of Cryospheric Sciences (IACS) and the International Glaciological Society (IGS), sponsored by the Cogley family, present the Graham Cogley Award to recognize excellence in glaciological/cryospheric research by early-career scientists; awardees receive a certificate and a CAD 500 cash prize. The award alternates annually between IACS and IGS: in IACS years two students are honored for an outstanding oral and an outstanding poster presentation at an IACS Assembly, while in IGS years two early-career scientists are honored for an exceptional paper published in the Journal of Glaciology or the Annals of Glaciology. Funded for a 20-year period beginning in 2019, the award has no listed application deadline and is open only to eligible early-career researchers meeting the presentation or publication criteria.
