IAGLR Lifetime Achievement Award

About this program

The International Association for Great Lakes Research (IAGLR) offers its Lifetime Achievement Award to recognize sustained, important contributions to large lake research over at least 20 years. The award honors work demonstrating exceptional contribution, originality, and long-term impact and is presented at IAGLR’s annual Conference on Great Lakes Research. Nominees must have at least 20 years of professional experience beyond their terminal degree in a relevant field involving the world’s large lakes, must not have previously received the award, and IAGLR membership is preferred. Nominations, due February 1, must include a two-page letter from an IAGLR member, the nominee’s CV or résumé, and at least three letters of support.
