About this program
The International Anesthesia Research Society (IARS) offers the two-year Global Scholars Award, providing up to $20,000 to support mentored research in anesthesiology or perioperative medicine and develop research capacity among emerging investigators. Five awards are available through a two-stage application process beginning with a letter of intent, followed by a full proposal for invited applicants. Applicants must be anesthesia providers and IARS members connected with an anesthesia department in a World Bank–defined low- or lower-middle-income country, and must demonstrate research commitment and leadership potential in their home country.
