IEEE CIS Outstanding Chapter Award

About this program

IEEE Computational Intelligence Society (IEEE CIS) offers the Outstanding Chapter Award to recognize the local CIS chapter that delivers the greatest overall contribution and service to its members and the local scientific, professional, governmental, and educational communities; the prize includes a $2,000 honorarium and a certificate. Any established IEEE CIS local chapter is eligible for nomination, although the same chapter may not receive the award more than two consecutive years. Nominations must document activities organized in 2024 and include a nomination letter with nominator and chapter contact details, a detailed basis for nomination (lists of realized activities, innovative promotion ideas, dissemination efforts, and membership recruitment/retention), a proposed citation, and up to five supporting letters. The complete nomination packet must be saved as a single PDF named chapter_name-Chapter.pdf and submitted via the IEEE CIS Awards Nomination online form by April 30 (confirm the applicable year in the current call).
