IEEE EDS Simon Min Sze Education Award

About this program

The IEEE Electron Devices Society (EDS) Simon M. Sze Education Award, sponsored with support from Etron Technology, Inc., recognizes distinguished contributions to education in the electron-devices field and carries a laminated plaque and $5,000. Eligible nominees are distinguished educators affiliated with academic, industrial, or government organizations and are evaluated on teaching excellence, student outcomes, curriculum and program development, textbooks and continuing-education initiatives, and contributions to EDS activities; the award cannot be given for work already recognized by an IEEE Technical Field Award, IEEE Medal, or other society-level award. Nominations are submitted via the IEEE EDS nomination form and are due September 1 (some nominations may be carried over with updates), and the award is presented at IEDM or other EDS flagship conferences.
