IEEE Photonics Society Distinguished Service Award

About this program

The IEEE Photonics Society offers its Distinguished Service Award to recognize an individual whose exceptional service has significantly benefited the Society’s membership; the recipient receives a plaque and honorarium. Nominees must be IEEE Photonics Society members and should demonstrate sustained service in multiple capacities or positions of significant responsibility, such as leadership in governance, publications, conferences, membership, or outreach. Nominations must include the candidate’s contact information, a 20-word award citation, and a description of their service contributions, and must be submitted by May 31; nominators need an IEEE Web Account but do not need to be Society members.
