The Daniel F. and Ada L. Rice Foundation, alongside the D. F. and M. T. Grohne Family Foundation, offer grants to support educational field trips focused on Illinois' biodiversity. This opportunity is open to teachers in grades prekindergarten through 12, including home-schooling teachers, and aims to enhance students' understanding of the state's diverse life forms. Applicants must propose field trips aligned with their curriculum, with a minimum of 75% of the trip taking place outdoors, and all expenses must be incurred before December 31, 2026.
