Implementation Science Research Grant Competition to Improve Early Language & Literacy Outcomes

Sponsored by the Sandra Dunagan Deal Center for Early Language and Literacy at Georgia College & State University (administered via the Board of Regents, University System of Georgia), this grant supports implementation-science research to improve early language and literacy (birth–age 8) and to test strategies for adopting, de-implementing, and sustaining evidence-based practices aligned with the Get Georgia Reading framework. The program will fund projects for one year with total awards up to $250,000 and individual grants capped at $50,000 (non‑USG applicants applying without a state/USG partner may be eligible for up to $24,000). Primary applicants must be University System of Georgia institutions or Georgia state agencies/affiliates; non‑USG colleges or independent researchers may join as co-applicants with a USG/state fiscal sponsor, applications must show cross-sector collaboration, and up to three partner organizations may be named. Selected grantees will contract with the Board of Regents, provide midterm and final reports, collaborate closely with the Deal Center, present findings at a Center event, include required acknowledgments/logo, and apply via the RFA/Submittable process by Nov. 19.
