IMS New Researcher Travel Award

About this program

The Institute of Mathematical Statistics (IMS) offers New Researcher Travel Awards of typically USD 500–1,500 to support travel and related expenses for presenting a paper or poster at an IMS-sponsored or co-sponsored meeting. Applicants must be IMS members and have received, or be scheduled to receive, a Ph.D. within the five years preceding the application deadline; applicants from countries with reduced membership dues receive priority for one-third of available funds. Applications are due February 1 and must include a CV, meeting information, paper materials, and two recommendation letters; the paper must be the applicant’s work, though collaboration is permitted.
