IMS Thelma and Marvin Zelen Emerging Women Leaders in Data Science Award

About this program

The Institute of Mathematical Statistics (IMS) offers the Thelma and Marvin Zelen Emerging Women Leaders in Data Science Award to recognize women data scientists who have made substantial contributions to the field and demonstrated leadership. Three awardees are selected annually and receive a plaque, citation, and cash honorarium at the IMS Presidential Awards Ceremony. Nominees must be women data scientists who are IMS members and within 10 years of completing their Ph.D. or equivalent degree, with possible extensions for exceptional circumstances. Nominations, including a CV, three recommendation letters, and a draft citation, are due July 1.
