IMS Thelma and Marvin Zelen Emerging Women Leaders in Data Science Award

About this program

The Institute of Mathematical Statistics awards the Thelma and Marvin Zelen Emerging Women Leaders in Data Science Award to recognize up to three early-career women data scientists who have made substantial contributions and demonstrated leadership; each recipient receives a plaque, citation, and cash honorarium presented at the IMS Presidential Awards Ceremony. Eligible nominees are women within 10 years of completing their Ph.D. (or equivalent) in the year of nomination, must be IMS members, and the committee may extend the eligibility window for career delays due to personal or exceptional circumstances. Nominations require a recent CV, a nominator’s letter, two additional letters of recommendation, and a draft citation, and must be received by July 1.
