About this program

The American Chemical Society offers the James T. Grady-James H. Stack Award to honor individuals who excel in communicating chemistry and related fields to the public through various media. The award includes $5,000, a medallion, a certificate, and up to $2,500 for travel expenses. Nominees must have made significant contributions to public understanding of chemistry via press, radio, television, online media, lectures, or books. Eligibility is open to all, regardless of personal characteristics, and nominations are accepted annually from July 1 to November 1.
