About this program

The American Chemical Society offers the James Bryant Conant Award to honor exceptional high school chemistry teachers in the United States, providing $5,000 and up to $2,500 for travel expenses to the award ceremony. Nominees must demonstrate excellence in teaching, inspire students, engage in extracurricular chemistry activities, and stay current in the field. Eligibility is limited to active high school chemistry teachers (Grades 9-12), excluding retired educators, with nominations accepted annually from July 1 to November 1.
