About this program

Breast Cancer Alliance's Young Investigator Grant is a two-year, $125,000 award (salary and project costs; administrative costs included and capped at 8% of direct costs) supporting early-career clinical doctors and research scientists who lead independent breast cancer research across areas such as diagnosis, etiology, immunology, genetics/epigenetics, therapies, prevention and clinical studies. Applicants must hold a full-time appointment, have not held a Staff‑level position for more than four years following completion of training as of March 1, 2027, must not have been a PI on an NIH R01 or equivalent national/international non‑mentored award, and must dedicate at least 50% effort to research. Cleveland Clinic applicants are subject to an institutional limit of two LOIs and must submit an internal application to the Cleveland Clinic Office of Research Development by 2026-02-05 including a one-page research summary and an NIH‑formatted biosketch (Word format); nominated researchers will be invited to submit an LOI directly to BCA.
