About this program

The Center for Political Studies at the University of Michigan offers the Ronald F. Inglehart Scholarship Fund 2026 to support up to $6,000 in research and travel for early-career scholars conducting comparative politics work, with an internal application deadline of February 9, 2026. Eligible applicants are Political Science graduate students at U‑M working with CPS faculty and comparative politics assistant professors in the department; preference is given to graduate students traveling internationally, those working with junior faculty, and fully collaborative student–faculty projects. Applications must include a CV and a project narrative (maximum two single‑spaced pages, excluding references) specifying title, project dates, student and ISR faculty contacts, student role/collaboration, budget by broad categories, timeline, expected products, and brief (3–5 sentence) cover‑sheet answers. Awardees are required to submit a two‑ to three‑page report upon project completion.
