Innovation in Clinical Virology Award

About this program

The European Society for Clinical Virology (ESCV) offers the annual Innovation in Clinical Virology Award to recognize leadership and significant contributions to syndromic infectious disease testing in viral diagnosis. The award includes a certificate, monetary prize, waived registration, an invited Society Dinner, and an oral presentation at the ESCV Annual Meeting. Eligible candidates must be ESCV members, hold a PhD or MD, and work in relevant virological diagnostics, clinical studies, or laboratory investigations; they must also have been first or last author of at least one peer-reviewed syndromic testing publication from the preceding two years. Applications must include a one-page achievement statement and brief CV and be submitted to the ESCV Secretary by January 30 of the award year.
