About this program

The British Society for Haematology (BSH) offers the Innovation Research Grant, a pump‑priming award of up to £40,000 to support novel, high‑impact haematology projects that have a clear plan for sustainability. Funding is paid only to institutional bank accounts which must ring‑fence the funds for the named project, and employing institutions bear all employment‑related responsibilities for staff funded by the grant. Grantees are responsible for research integrity, management and conduct of the work, must notify BSH of any misconduct investigations, acknowledge BSH in outputs, and obtain written consent to use the BSH name or logo. A final project report with a detailed financial breakdown is required; BSH may request return of unspent funds, review receipts for due diligence, and may publicize grantee materials or request presentations and social media participation.
