International Project Grants

About this program

AAUW offers International Project Grants of up to $10,000 to support community-based charitable initiatives led by International Fellowship alumnae that advance gender equity and the social and economic empowerment of women and girls. Projects may last up to 12 months, must be implemented in the applicant’s home country or an approved host country, and may not provide personal profit or fund prohibited costs such as salaries, construction, scholarships, or political activities. Applicants must identify as women, be non-U.S. citizens without U.S. permanent-resident status, have completed an AAUW International Fellowship between June 2011 and June 2026, and have fulfilled all reporting requirements. Applications, including a project proposal, budget, and resume, must be submitted in English online from August 17 through September 30, 2026.
