ISQ Travel Grants

About this program

Invasive Species Queensland (ISQ) offers travel grants of $500–$2,000 to assist current financial ISQ members to attend conferences, symposia and similar events that build knowledge and promote involvement in weed or pest animal science/management; awards may cover fares, accommodation, registrations and other travel-related costs. Applicants must be current financial ISQ members, with preference given to those actively involved in weed and/or pest animal science or management; members who received ISQ travel assistance in the previous two calendar years are ineligible. Applications may be submitted at any time to the ISQ Secretariat and should briefly describe the applicant’s relevant work, ISQ involvement, travel purpose and expected benefits to Queensland management, ISQ and the applicant. A three-member ISQ panel assesses relevance, commitment and community benefit; recipients must provide a written report within two months of travel, may be asked to present, and may need to return funds if unable to attend.
