ITHS Community-Academic Partnership Awards

About this program

The Institute of Translational Health Sciences (ITHS) offers Community–Academic Partnership Awards to launch collaborative projects that generate or implement healthcare evidence in communities affected by health disparities. Projects may address barriers to community-based clinical research or improve adoption of evidence-based interventions, including through implementation science, remote monitoring, wearable technologies, or other innovative approaches. Applicants must form a partnership between community organizations and academic investigators, with community partners helping initiate, organize, or lead research addressing locally identified health needs; the Letter of Intent is due August 24, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. PDT.
