Jack Simons Award in Theoretical Physical Chemistry

The ACS Physical Chemistry (PHYS) Division and Telluride School on Theoretical Chemistry offer the Jack Simons Award in Theoretical Physical Chemistry to recognize outstanding contributions to theoretical chemistry. The recipient receives a $5,000 honorarium, presents research at the fall ACS meeting, is honored at the PHYS reception, and delivers a plenary lecture at the Telluride School on Theoretical Chemistry. Nominees must be PHYS Division members who are mid- or senior-career scientists and have not received a qualifying national scientific award or been elected to the National Academy of Sciences; current PHYS Executive Committee members and self-nominations are ineligible. Nominations are due November 30 annually and must include the nomination form, a two-page nomination letter, two supporting letters, the nominee’s CV, selected publications, and assurance of in-person participation.
