CSS James A. Swenberg Carcinogenesis Merit Award for Junior Faculty Members

The Society of Toxicology’s Carcinogenesis Specialty Section offers the annual James A. Swenberg Carcinogenesis Merit Award to recognize junior faculty conducting transformative mechanistic research on environmental agent-associated carcinogenesis. The award includes $1,000, a recognition plaque, and an approximately 10-minute presentation at the CSS meeting during the SOT Annual Meeting; applications are due January 12, 2027. Applicants must be CSS members, hold a tenure- or research-track assistant professor position or equivalent, and have earned their highest degree fewer than 15 years before the Annual Meeting. Self-nominations and peer nominations are accepted and require two support letters, a two-page application letter, and a current CV.
