About this program
The Society for Applied Anthropology’s James H. McDonald Leadership Endowment provides a $3,000 grant to five participants for year-long leadership development focused on strengthening anthropology’s position within higher education. The program includes in-person workshops at SfAA Annual Meetings and three virtual sessions addressing university leadership, institutional decision-making, student success, research, and engagement. Applicants must be mid-career anthropology faculty, current SfAA members, and prepared to pursue leadership roles that increase the visibility and impact of anthropology at their institutions. Applications require a CV and a statement of 500 words or fewer describing leadership priorities, preparation, and readiness; materials are due December 15.
