James M. Matarazzo Rising Star Award

About this program

The Association for Information Science and Technology (ASIS&T) offers the James M. Matarazzo Rising Star Award to recognize members demonstrating exceptional leadership potential and contributions to the association and profession. Up to three recipients receive complimentary registration to the Information Science Summit & Special Libraries Conference, where the award is presented. Nominees must be current ASIS&T members in good standing and have been active members of SLA for no more than five years; prior winners and current Awards & Honors Committee or Board of Directors members are ineligible. Nominations are due April 8 (or the adjacent weekday) and must include a 200–500-word statement, the nominee’s CV, contact information, and a supporting nomination letter.
