About this program
The American Musicological Society (AMS) offers the James R. Anthony Fund Publication Subventions to support the publication of studies and critical editions of French music from approximately 1550 to 1760. Established in 2007, this fund honors James R. Anthony, a prominent scholar of French music from the 17th and 18th centuries. Researchers and scholars working on French music within this period are eligible to apply, with proposals accepted regularly by the AMS Publications Committee. Contributions to the fund are welcome to further support publications on French baroque music.
