About this program
The ALA's Jason Reynolds / Simon & Schuster Travel Grant offers funding to black/African American youth and teen services librarians in the US and Canada. The grant covers travel expenses for five recipients to attend the ALA Annual Conference, including registration, accommodation, and a ticket to the Coretta Scott King Awards Breakfast, with awards ranging from $1500 to $3000. Applicants must be ALA members, submit an online application, provide a CV, and write an essay detailing the professional development benefits of attending the conference.
