About this program
The Texas Library Association offers the Jeanette & Jim Larson Grant to help a Texas public library or individual branch acquire fiction mystery materials that strengthen collections and attract or engage library users. At least one $500 award is provided annually, with funds restricted to purchased books, audiovisual materials, or e-content for any age or format; subscriptions, leases, and reading sets are not eligible. Applicants must be Texas public libraries meeting state statutory definitions and submit a narrative addressing library services, community partnerships and impact, marketing plans, responsible staff or consultant qualifications, and a preliminary bibliography with costs and allocation details.
