John Cotton Dana Award

About this program

The Association for Information Science and Technology (ASIS&T) offers the John Cotton Dana Award to recognize an individual member’s lifetime achievement and exceptional service to the Special Libraries Association (SLA) and the library and information profession. The award consists of an engraved glass flame and is presented at the Information Science Summit & Special Libraries Conference. Nominees must be current ASIS&T members in good standing and have at least 10 years of SLA membership; current Awards & Honors Committee or Board members and prior recipients are ineligible. Nominations are due April 8 (or the adjacent weekday) and must include a 200–500-word statement, curriculum vitae, nomination letter, contribution record, and up to three supporting letters.
