Judith McCulloh Award for Lifetime Service to the Field

The American Folklore Society offers the Judith McCulloh Award for Lifetime Service to recognize extraordinary contributions that advance the visibility, success, and sustainability of the Society or the field of folklore studies. The honoree receives recognition at the AFS annual meeting, a certificate, and a $500 honorarium. Nominations must be submitted by April 15 through the AFS prize application form, with packages limited to 25 pages and documenting the candidate’s service, professional achievements, honors, and other evidence of outstanding contributions; unsuccessful nominees remain under consideration for two additional years.
