The American College of Gastroenterology (ACG) is offering a portfolio of 2027 clinical, epidemiologic, and health equity research awards supporting investigators from medical students and residents through junior and established faculty, including flagship awards such as the Junior Faculty Development Award ($450K/3 years), Established Investigator Bridge Funding ($300K/2 years), and the Leonidas Berry Health Equity Research Award ($75K/2 years). The application portal is currently closed and will reopen August 31, 2026; applicants must be ACG members at the time of application. Most awards require U.S. or Canadian physicians or investigators (some clinical and pilot awards are open to international members), and specific eligibility is tied to career stage—e.g., junior faculty <7 years out of fellowship, established investigators 8–15 years out with recent federal PI funding (prequalification required), fellows require mentor support, and separate awards exist for residents and medical students.
