About this program
Kansas Association for Health, Physical Education & Dance (KAHPERD) offers annual Member Grants and Project Incentive Grants of up to $1,500 to fund innovative school-based wellness activities (Member Grants) and college/university professional development or training to improve HPERD in Kansas (Project Incentive Grants). Eligible applicants are KAHPERD members—individual members for Member Grants and KAHPERD members employed at colleges/universities (institutions may apply; a college/university may receive only one Project Incentive Grant per year); Member Grant projects must be completed within one year (one six‑month extension possible) and Project Incentive projects within eight months, with refund penalties for incomplete or cancelled projects. Applications (including objectives, expected outcomes, activities/timeline, evaluation plan and detailed budget) must be submitted electronically to Grant Chair Yang Song and received by November 30; awardees must submit final reports and receipts, with Member Grant winners providing a short project video (with release permissions) and Project Incentive winners contributing a KAHPERD journal article.
