About this program
The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), through its Geo-Institute, offers the Karl Terzaghi Award to recognize outstanding contributions to soil mechanics, subsurface and earthwork engineering, and related construction. The award includes a plaque and an honorarium determined annually. Nominees may be of any nationality or Society membership status in odd-numbered years and should have significant published contributions, preferably through ASCE. Nominations are due June 1 and must include a signed cover letter, the nominee’s CV or biographical information, and two or three recommendation letters.
