About this program
The Society for Economic Anthropology (SEA) offers the Kate Browne Creativity in Research Award to recognize original research demonstrating exceptional creativity in research design, methodology, or public communication. The award provides a $2,000 cash prize and an invited plenary presentation at the SEA Spring Meeting, with preference for socially relevant projects advancing economic anthropology. Anthropologists at any career stage, regardless of citizenship, nationality, or SEA membership, may self-nominate or nominate others, including collaborative teams. Nominations are due by 5 p.m. Eastern on January 31 and must include a CV, nomination statement, evidence of demonstrated methodological or communication effectiveness, and relevant supporting materials.
