Kellogg Institute Conference Travel Grants

About this program

The Kellogg Institute at the University of Notre Dame offers Conference Travel Grants to help Kellogg Doctoral Student Affiliates cover travel costs for presenting papers at academic conferences or other invited presentation forums, with individual awards generally up to $2,000 (effective July 1, 2024) and applications reviewed on a rolling basis (apply soon after confirmation and no later than 30 days before travel). Applicants must be Kellogg Doctoral Student Affiliates and submit an online application including a budget and supporting documentation, a letter explaining how the presentation advances their scholarship and connects to the Institute’s core democracy theme, an up-to-date graduate CV, an official Notre Dame transcript, documentation of conference participation or a formal invitation, and a short advisor endorsement form. Applicants must disclose other sources of funding (awards may be adjusted), provide supporting receipts/quotes for budget items, and follow per diem rules (up to 50% of GSA rates) as specified in the application.
