Kellogg Institute Professionalization Grants

About this program

The Kellogg Institute for International Studies at the University of Notre Dame offers Professionalization Grants to support doctoral student affiliates and Kellogg Fellowship MGA students for professional training and related expenses that strengthen preparation for academic careers and align with the Institute’s core democracy theme. Individual awards typically do not exceed $2,000, are reviewed on a rolling basis (applications must be submitted at least 30 days before the program), and language-study requests are ineligible; applicants must disclose other funding and per diem may be covered up to 50% of GSA rates. Applicants must submit an online application with a budget, a narrative linking the program to their research and Kellogg’s democracy focus, an up-to-date graduate CV, documentation of program participation, an official Notre Dame transcript, and an endorsement form completed by their principal advisor.
