K.K. Barnes Student Paper Award Competition

About this program

The American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) offers the K.K. Barnes Student Paper Award Competition to encourage undergraduate students to develop high-quality technical papers in agricultural, food, or biological engineering. Awards include $500, $300, and $200, waived ASABE Annual Meeting registration, and certificates; the top three written papers advance to an oral competition. Applicants must be ASABE student members and undergraduates when the research was conducted, and papers must be submitted electronically by May 15, within six months of receiving a first professional degree. Each student may submit one paper per year, and projects entered in the AGCO National Student Design Competition are ineligible.
