Knight-Hennessy Scholars Application (Stanford University)

About this program

Knight-Hennessy Scholars at Stanford funds incoming graduate scholars who must also apply to, be accepted by, and enroll in a full‑time Stanford graduate degree program; the KHS application opens June 1, 2026 and is due October 6, 2026 (KHS applicants must also meet the earlier of their graduate program’s deadline or December 1, 2026). Applicants must submit separate online applications to KHS and to their chosen Stanford graduate program(s), providing materials in English including a resume, transcripts, recommendation letters, short answers/essay, and any standardized test scores required by the graduate program (KHS follows each program’s test policy). KHS charges no application fee (many Stanford programs do), applicants must indicate in each application that they are applying to the other, and finalists and scholars will be notified in early 2027 (finalists notified Jan 27, 2027; scholars notified Mar 16, 2027).
