The IEEE Electron Devices Society awards the Lewis Terman Distinguished Service Award to recognize outstanding service to the Society and its sponsored activities; the recipient receives a laminated plaque and $5,000, with presentation at IEDM or other EDS flagship conferences. Eligibility is limited to active IEEE and EDS members; active members of the EDS Executive Committee are ineligible except for the Sr. Past President. Nominations must be submitted to the EDS Executive Office (nomination deadline listed as August 1, no year specified; some nominations may be carried over and updated) and candidates are judged on years of service and notable contributions as Society officers, Board of Governors members, Associate Editors, or managers of EDS-sponsored meetings.
