Library Impact Grants

About this program

Atla offers Library Impact Grants of up to $1,000 to support projects that raise awareness of the value of libraries serving theology and religious studies through marketing, promotion, advocacy, networking, or the creation or improvement of library programs and services. Eligible Atla Institutional Members and Affiliate‑Candidate Libraries may apply via the My Atla portal for one grant per fiscal year (up to five awards annually, reviewed on a rolling basis); libraries may not receive funding for the same or nearly identical project in consecutive fiscal years. Applications must be submitted at least two months before the project start and include a program overview, a detailed project plan (objectives, intended outcomes, evaluation measures, timeline), and a budget; institutions must provide a completed W‑9 or W‑8 prior to disbursement. Grant funds are paid in two installments, with the second tied to submission of the required report and visuals; recipients must complete the Atla Library Impact Grant Reporting Form within one month after the event.
