The Broadcast Education Association (BEA) offers the Lifetime Achievement in Scholarship (LAS) Award to recognize an individual’s extensive and significant contributions to media research and scholarship, typically demonstrated through at least 20 years of publications in books, leading journals, or public scholarship. Nominations open September 1 and close December 31 at 11:59 p.m. ET, with the winner announced February 15 and recognized at the April 2027 BEA Annual Convention. Nominees must be current BEA individual members and may not be current BEA board members, although board members may submit nominations.
