Linda H. Mantel Next Generation Women's Leadership Award

Sigma Xi offers the biennial Linda H. Mantel Next Generation Women’s Leadership Award to recognize an early-career scholar or researcher who identifies as a woman and demonstrates outstanding service and leadership potential. The award includes a certificate, a $2,500 honorarium for leadership or professional development training, a lifetime subscription to American Scientist, and recognition at Sigma Xi’s International Forum on Research Excellence. Applicants must have at least three years of active Sigma Xi membership, demonstrate service or leadership within Sigma Xi or the scientific community, and have completed a doctoral degree within the past 10 years. Nominations are due January 31 and require a CV, nomination letter, proof of doctoral completion and membership, and one or two letters of support.
