Loan Guarantee Program for Unitarian Universalist Congregations

About this program

The Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) offers a Loan Guarantee Program to support member congregations in acquiring, expanding, renovating, or improving accessibility of their facilities. The program guarantees up to 50% of the original loan amount, with a maximum of $450,000. Eligibility requires congregations to complete a capital campaign, maintain debt service below 25% of their annual operating budget, and be a Fair Share member of the Annual Program Fund (APF). Applicants must pay a $250 application fee and a $900 approval fee, with the guarantee ending when the unpaid principal falls below 50% of the original amount or after 10 years.
