Wilson Ornithological Society is offering multiple 2026 research grants to support ornithological research, including Louis Agassiz Fuertes Grants (up to two awards of $5,000), WOS Research Grants (multiple awards with budgets considered up to $3,000), Paul A. Stewart Grants (up to four awards of $2,000), and the George A. Hall/Harold F. Mayfield Grant (one $2,000 award). Applications are due February 1, 2026 (midnight CST) and must be submitted electronically via the Society’s Google Form; complete proposal guidelines are available as a PDF. Applicants must be current WOS members and eligibility varies by category (Fuertes open to all ornithologists with preference for graduate students/young professionals; WOS Research Grants include awards limited to Masters and undergraduate students; Stewart Grants favor studies of bird movements or economic ornithology; Hall/Mayfield is restricted to independent non‑professionals, including high school students). All awardees must be willing to present results at a WOS annual meeting within five years and provide a brief write‑up and photograph for the website.
