Lower American River Conservancy Program

About this program

The Wildlife Conservation Board’s Lower American River Conservancy Program provides grants to restore, protect, enhance, and improve public access to the American River Parkway and adjacent lands. Eligible projects may address habitat conservation, wildfire impacts, trails and recreation, interpretation and education, invasive species, native species, and stormwater capture and treatment; approximately $750,000 is available, with ongoing applications and no required match. Eligible applicants include nonprofits, public agencies, and tribal governments, and projects must be recommended by the Lower American River Conservancy Program Advisory Committee before Wildlife Conservation Board approval.
