About this program
The Modern Language Association invites members to nominate distinguished individuals for consideration as honorary members or fellows, recognizing exceptional and original contributions to the fields represented by the association. Nominations must include a 500–750-word statement describing the candidate’s contributions and distinctive qualities, plus a 1–2-page list of works and honors, up to five relevant URLs, or both. Materials must be addressed to the Committee on Honors and Awards and received at MLA headquarters by January 31.
