Maryland Library Association Educational Grants

About this program

Maryland Library Association (MLA) offers Educational Grants of up to $500 to support members’ professional development activities including workshops, conferences, pre‑conferences, library science and undergraduate courses, and approved non‑credit courses for certification renewal. Applications are accepted twice yearly with recurring receipt deadlines of January 15 and July 15, awards are announced within about one month after each deadline, and funds are reimbursed after attendance upon submission of an academic transcript, CEU form, or brief summary of the program and learnings. Applicants must have held MLA membership for at least six months, may not be current members of the Educational Grants Subcommittee, must submit typed applications, and should disclose other funding sources; priority may be given to those who have not previously received awards.
