About this program
The Tobacco-Related Disease Research Program (TRDRP) offers the Maternal Smoking Cessation Initiative (MSCI) to support culturally tailored commercial tobacco cessation interventions that improve maternal and fetal health outcomes among pregnant individuals in communities disproportionately affected by tobacco-related illness and health inequities. The Full Partnered MSCI Award provides up to $600,000 annually in direct costs for up to three years, with budgets of up to $300,000 each for community and academic Co-PIs. Applications are by invitation only and must meet the detailed requirements in the standalone MSCI Call for Applications, including expectations for both Community and Academic Co-PIs and adherence to the specified review criteria.
