Member Chapter Scholarships

About this program

AIST's 22 Local Member Chapters jointly award more than 43 scholarships each year to students and qualified individuals within their respective regions, with chapters including Birmingham, Detroit, Globe-Trotters, Midwest, Northeastern Ohio, Ohio Valley, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Southeast, Southern California, Southwest, St. Louis and others. Awards and durations vary by chapter, ranging from US$1,500 to US$5,000 for one-year scholarships, select four-year US$2,000 awards, and larger chapter pools (e.g., Globe-Trotters up to US$45,000 and Ohio Valley up to US$10,000 annually). Applicants must meet the specific academic, programmatic, and residency requirements set by the local chapter; interested candidates should contact their local AIST member chapter for detailed eligibility criteria, deadlines, and application instructions.
