Meritorious Teaching Award in Herpetology

About this program

The Society for the Study of Amphibians and Reptiles, together with ASIH and The Herpetologists’ League, sponsors the Meritorious Teaching Award in Herpetology to recognize outstanding teaching and student mentoring in herpetology. The recipient receives US$500, an official letter, and a plaque. Nominees must be current members of at least one sponsoring society, have taught within the past three years, and demonstrate sustained teaching excellence and effective mentoring; current non-awardee members of the Herpetology Education Committee are ineligible. Nominations must include a letter from a sponsoring-society member, CV, coursework list, and student and peer recommendations in one electronic PDF, submitted to the HEC Chair by March 31.
